M. Bateman focuses on the challenges involved in the operation of a quarry located near a residential area such as the Mount Saint-Bruno Quarry.  He also outlines several technical features of the facilities.

Mr. Karl Riendeau and Mr. Alex Bouthillier during the yearly scholarship reception ceremony organized by the ÉTS Development Funds

The tradition lives on.  Indeed, since 2003, DJL has been awarding her yearly scholarship to a student from ÉTS who has outperformed and who has shown interest in the construction industry.

The selection of Mr. Karl Riendeau is no coincidence.  Mr Riendeau had already completed three training sessions at DJL Technologies during the past years.  These sessions as a Project Manager Assistant and a Project Manager allowed him to improve his knowledge and skills in the technology and the quality aspects of our industry.

According to Mr. Riendeau, it is very rewarding to see organizations such as DJL support pre-graduate students.  This type of support drives the student to perform well and is a proof of trust.

Mr. Bouthillier, Training Manager, handed the $ 3 500 scholarship to Mr. Riendeau during the yearly scholarship reception ceremony organized by the ÉTS Development Funds.

Karl Riendeau graduated from ÉTS last April and is now working as a Project Manager for DJL.

The award was presented March 30 during the scholarship remittal award ceremony held at ÉTS in Montréal.

This event was organized by the ÉTS Development Funds to honour our scholarship recipients and to maintain close links with ÉTS’s donors, business partners and trainee employers.

The accession to the best trainee employers club confirms that in 2009, DJL was one of the organizations that contributed the most to communicate to the students of ÉTS through numerous traineeships on site the knowledge and the job skills required to apply for a position within Construction DJL.

According to Alex Bouthillier, Training Manager for DJL, the practical ÉTS trainee program is an excellent lever the ideal gateway for students to join our team and apply for a job in our organization.

DJL intends to pursue her efforts in 2010 by recruiting 11 trainees from ÉTS (out of approximately 15 candidates for the year).

Mrs Sylvie Barrette, ÉTS Regional Coordinator and the entire ÉTS staff wish to acknowledge the cooperation of Construction DJL in the recruitment of trainees and to extend their congratulations for this well deserved outstanding achievement award.

Mr Alexandre Lévesque-Lauzon and Mr Philippe Murat, President and Chief Executive Officer of DJL

Each year since 2003, DJL grants a scholarship to a student of the ÉTS who has achieved outstanding results and who has shown interest in the construction business.

Mr Alex Bouthillier, Training Manager for Construction DJL at the Head office in Boucherville insists on the importance for DJL of supporting the educational and academic circle.  The ÉTS is a huge bank from which Construction DJL recruits many trainees in the area of project management each year.
